Grade Levels

St. Ambrose Academy is a Catholic Elementary School of the Diocese of Rochester providing PK3 through Grade 5 education.

The St. Ambrose Academy Faculty are all New York State Certified. They are extremely dedicated, caring, experienced and committed to providing a quality academic program for your child. We strive to meet the individual needs of our students as they develop both intellectually and spiritually. At all grade levels, our curriculum is in accordance with the requirements of the Diocese of Rochester and the New York State Standards.

Liturgical Celebrations are an integral part of the curriculum. Catholic values and attitudes are infused throughout our total educational program.

Preschool (refers to 3 year olds)

To be admitted to PK3, a child must be three (3) years old by December 1st of the school year entered and must be potty trained. All immunizations must be up to date before a child can be admitted to school according to New York State regulations.

Prekindergarten (refers to 4 year olds)

To be admitted to PK4, a child must be four (4) years old by December 1st of the school year entered. All immunizations must be up to date before a child can be admitted to school according to New York State regulations.

Kindergarten

To be admitted to Kindergarten, a child must be five (5) years old by December 1st of the school year entered. All immunizations must be up to date before a child can be admitted to school according to New York State regulations.

Transfer Students

All students transferring into St. Ambrose Academy (Grades 1-5) must present copies of records from his or her former school. These records should include standardized test scores, New York State Assessment Scores, and a copy of their latest report card.
