Message from the Principal

Welcome to St. Ambrose Academy! We are a school community rooted in faith, hospitality and service. The children at St. Ambrose Academy are provided a safe learning environment to explore their God given gifts and talents, strengthen their intellectual minds, nurture their social and emotional development and deepen their love for God and all creation. The parents at St. Ambrose Academy are our partners in this educational journey as their child’s primary educator. The faculty and staff at St. Ambrose Academy foster and protect relationships answering our call to be disciples with hope to bring the youth and families we serve.

St. Ambrose Academy is an inclusive and welcoming PreK through fifth grade elementary school serving families of all faith practices, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds. As a Middle States accredited elementary school, we lead with high academic standards while meeting each student’s individual needs. As partners on the faith and academic journey of each child, St. Ambrose Academy teachers work to improve their instructional practices by participating in on-going professional development. We believe in teaching with a universal design of learning so all learners reach their potential. Each child attending St. Ambrose Academy encounters the Lord in the daily expressions of love and compassion evident in all lessons.

Beginning on October 7, I would like to personally invite all parents, guardians, invested stakeholders and Peace of Christ parishioners to participate in weekly community gathering conversations. Meet with Ms. Christine Deutsch, school principal for 45 minutes to discuss “Missioning Matters” and conclude with a 15-minute tour of the school to see our beautiful work in action. The focus of our conversation will be on what matters most in the eyes of the adults providing opportunities for children to know, love and serve God within their chosen academic institution, St. Ambrose Academy.

I am honored to be the lead learner at St. Ambrose Academy. I look forward to working with each child, parent/guardian and teacher as we walk the journey together building each mind, body and soul. Together we are stronger and truly discover the presence of God.

God’s Peace and Blessings,

Ms. Christine Deutsch
